Braden's Dedication - The Blessing of a Child

Yesterday, August 8, 2010 we had Braden dedicated. It meant the world to us for all of our family and friends that were there. My mom was here all week with Ben & Jess who attended, and Ben video taped and Jess took pictures for us, Dad drove specifically down here just for the church service, Brenda flew back from BC to be here, Ray was there and sang a song for Braden, Deah & Mark and the girls were there and Natalie & Steve, Braden's godparents, spent Saturday night here and were a part of the service, and Jamie, Robyn, and their girls attended too - and it was just amazing! Braden was a little champ and he behaved so well! I am so proud of him!
Afterwards we went back to the farm and had a BBQ. Since in started raining and our house is so small, Brenda let us have an impromptu lunch at their place, which is very much appreciated! The food was yummy and the company was even better. Thanks again to all that were there to share in this special day for my family.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name.
For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 100:3-5
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
