My 3rd niece Danika turned 4 the day after my birthday. She reeeeally wanted Auntie Sarah to make her a chocolate ladybug cake. I didn't disappoint and this is the cake I'm probably most proud of that I've made so far!
See, not only have I had Danika reject to be born on my birthday, but now Abby didn't want to share my day either! Oh well! Each girl can have their own special day. Anywho, we went swimming for Danika's party and all the kids had lots of fun!
Danika loved her gifts, and loved her cake!
I hope Danika had a wonderful birthday and soon will be coming a very late Easter post. Work finally slows down for me now, I have one more shift booked next weekend and then I'm off for seeding - yay!
Your ladybug cake was ten thousand times better than mine!!! Beautiful! (your niece and the cake)
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks Sarah! I had a lot of fun making it!
DeleteLooks like a really fun oarty and I LOVE that cake!!
ReplyDeleteI was super tired, but the kids had a ton of fun. Thanks, I love the cake too!
DeleteAWESOME job on that cake! (And I wish I could have some, it looks delicious!)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a pretty tasty cake too! Chocolate with Cool Whip in the middle!
DeleteThat cake is fantastic! Is she eating the head???
ReplyDeleteHaha!!!! It's funny you noticed! For Braden's Thomas birthday cake she INSISTED on eating his head and same with the ladybug cake. It's funny because that black icing is rather bitter, you need so much of it to color so it tastes funny, and she specifically asked for CHOCOLATE cake and the ladybug head is the top of a white cupcake. Kids! Oh well!
DeleteThat cake is awesome!!! The pictures are all fantastic:)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
