Alberta's Bipolar Weather

Nothing surprises me anymore about the weather in Alberta. Yesterday we had a gorgeous day, at least +24C. But you would never have guessed it would be so nice out. You can't rely on the forecast toooo much anymore. Earlier in the week I said we should go boating on Sunday because they forecast 24 and sunny with little to no wind - PERFECT BOATING WEATHER!!! Then comes Saturday night, it's dreary looking with threatening rain clouds above and Laura texts me saying we might wanna postpone our boating trip because it was absolutely dreadful weather in Drumheller. We agreed, and Jay thought if it was going to be nice we could get some more yard work done and they might be able to spray.

Well, low and behold the weather was perfect! It was the Sunday school picnic yesterday so I'm glad the kids had nice weather.

Braden really didn't want to be around the other kids. Instead we enjoyed a nice, walk and enjoyed the view.

Then we came home, he was exhausted and had a 2 hour nap, I finally tackled cleaning the inside of my vehicle (the outside is another story) and Jay mowed the lawn again. We're actually surprised at how nice the lawn is getting, not too bad for native pasture grass! Then when Braden woke up he immediately wanted to go and play outside, who could blame him?

Then I got out this bubble bug Mom got for him and he wasn't quite sure what to think of it!

P.S. What does his romper remind you of?

This is TOTALLY what it reminds me of! (I could only find a picture of one on a dummy, don't know why!)
And then after supper, the nice weather promptly decided it was done, the clouds game and the wind started and it rained all night. Sigh. Guess we should be used to it by now. At least it's not snowing!!
