The baby actually was very chill almost the whole ultrasound. I'd see a hand wave here, a little kick there...but nothing like big brother was! The hand was up by the face almost the entire time.
Two tiny legs
Two bitty feet
Two little arms
High 5!
Alien face...the longer they cook, the cuter they get!
Measuring right on time at 12 weeks 5 days. Such great pictures compared to my early ultrasound with Braden. I'm tempted to book my anatomy scan at this place instead of where I am booked as they just give a little, poor quality picture printout. This place was actually quite swanky for what I thought it might be!
Also, can I just say...how is anyone supposed to hold 1 litre of water in their bladder for over an hour...especially if you're pregnant??? Seriously, first world problem I know, it was so uncomfortable and unpleasant I wanted to pee so bad I would have peed my pants if it was socially acceptable. But I'm so thankful and blessed to have seen Squishy healthy as can be at this stage in the game. My big anatomy scan is June 8th!
In other news, this was technically my NT scan. As I've mentioned before, I didn't care about the results, but since they give them to me anyway I was low risk to begin with, but I am extremely low risk for Trisomy 21, 18, & 11. My scan was negative and this is wonderful news! More on my thoughts on NT scans later to come...!
Yay!!! Awesome photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, I'm really pleased with the photos as well!
DeleteVery nice pictures. I go for another U/S this Friday :) Hopefully I can get a better picture of my little one, they only give me the profile pic though not all the ones you got. You must be relieved there is only one in there...lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Why are you having another scan? Get better pictures? I'm excited for you and keep me posted! And yes, so relieved!
DeleteYay! Hi Squishy!
ReplyDeleteYay! Nice to meetcha squishy! So glad you are a healthy little thing! PS I go ahead and vote girl!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a relief to see that s/he's so healthy at this scan! I totally think girl too still!
DeleteWaves hi to beautiful "mr./ms" squishy!
ReplyDeleteWaving hi back to you! Have a wonderful vacation!
DeleteAw! Hearing the heartbeat for the first time is always so amazing. :) I don't know how they expect pregnant women who already have to pee every 2 minutes to hold that much water in that long, either. Crazy docs!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see/greet the newest member of your family!
That's the thing - I haven't actually heard it yet, just saw it on the ultrasound! It was such a relief to see that baby does have a heartbeat! I wasn't worried, but it's just such a beautiful confirmation that YES you actually are pregnant and growing a little baby! Yeah it's absolutely first world torture to have a bladder that full with the U/S tech pushing her weight on it for 15+ minutes!!
Deleteawww, congrats! enjoy the pregnancy such an exciting time for you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how awesome these pictures are for 12 weeks!!! How incredible that you were able to see the foot...adorable!!! Love them all. Ohhh I had to have a full bladder at my 20 week ultrasound and I was honestly in tears. It was horrible. As soon as the u/s tech turned on the machine she said my bladder was too full and she couldn't see anything. Thankfully I was able to go to the bathroom and enjoy the u/s.
