The Biggest Pregnancy Brain Moment EVER!

In the history of womankind. I swear. It happened to me. Allow me to entertain you....because this is the only reason why I am sharing this story on the interwebs. (Also, I like to laugh at myself!)

I have sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to my son ever since he was a baby. Every night before bed I sang it to him. It's simple, it's sweet. Little did I know, that Braden heard it so much and had picked up the words and liked to sing it with me! Except he calls it "tickle tickle little 'tar"! Lately he asks for it every night, but only for about the last week or so, he'll actually sing it with me. Well, over a week ago now, there were 2 nights I didn't sing it to him, because...

I FORGOT THE WORDS!!!

Can you even fathom this?!? I could not get past "Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are". For the life of me, for 2 nights in a row, I could NOT remember the words! Then, on the third night, Braden asked for it. Panic! I never usually do, but luckily I had my phone on me, I literally had to ask Siri the lyrics to the darn song. Seriously. Seriously, wouldn't and couldn't make this stuff up if I tried!
Just lounging on the couch after an hour of gardening outside with Braden.
Nicely done, Sarah...nicely done!
Have you ever had this bad of a case of pregnancy brain? I dare you to share!Sarah

  2. Nice. Never with that song but I have been half way through songs I sing all the time with Luke & it's like the lyrics just fell out of my head. I also forgot Joys phone # yesterday & that is horrible!

  3. LOL, that is hilarious! I think my "best" pregnancy brain moment was when a friend called me from a new number, but she had a bad signal. She said, "just text me" and hung up. I then got on Facebook and messaged her to ask her for her new number because I didn't have it yet. Um... she had just called me. The number was on my caller ID. DUMB!

  4. hahah that's awesome! Love that you asked Siri too. :) My mommy brain is horrible. We have lived in our "new" house for a year and a half now and I still can't seem to remember our land line phone number. It's super close to my cell phone number so I always screw them up.

    1. If I didn't write everything on every calendar we own and in my phone, I'd forget pretty much everything or double book stuff, it's awful!

  6. LOL! My "preganancy brain" hung around for several months postpartum. The worst case was when I went to CVS to pick up my digital photo prints of my newborn. The poor high school age clerk checked three times before it dawned on me that I had printed them at Walgreens but drove to CVS instead!

  8. LOL!!! When I was pregnant with my son, we took a trip down to Florida... We got to husband's parent's house and his brother came out to the car to help us unload. There was one specific bag I knew I needed inside right away, so I was SEARCHING the car for it. Couldn't find it, so I started panicking. In front of my BIL mind you. After about 5 minutes of FREAK OUT mode, I looked down and it was in my hand.
