40 Weeks + 1 Day =

Well, I called it! Even though I'm only one day into my overdueness, I just had a feeling from at least a few weeks ago that I'd be overdue. But the more people I talk to and the more I research, the more normal I realize that it is. I had a wonderful chat with Kathleen this morning (thank you!) as she was overdue with Marin and I just feel so much better about a lot of things that were on my mind. So suffice to say, sorry that Grandma, Mom, and 5 other people are out in the baby pool!

So for a change of pace, Jay and I headed into Strathmore today. We stopped by Home Hardware to talk some more about our kitchen, I stopped at Walmart to hopefully get what will be "last minute" things and we had a nice lunch out together. I have booked a last pregnancy massage on Wednesday morning and we're planning to go to our last wing Wednesday in Rockyford...I'll eat some hot and spicy wings and see if that gets things going!!

As far as the house, the framers still can't finish the roof due to the frost, but they will be wrapping the walkout with Tyvek tomorrow so then the siding can be done! I hope to go over to the site tomorrow so I can take some pictures and give a visual update.

Other than that, no other news to report. If the blog isn't very busy the next few days...don't go all assuming that we've had the baby, just really not much is happening in our life right now other than the waiting! Don't worry, we'll let you know when we have the little one!

  1. I don't care about the pool! I just want to meet the wee one after all this time, whenever they decide to come out to meet us!! <3

  2. You need to lie to people and yourself about your due date. I changed mine from Oct 29 to Nov 7 when people asked. It just makes it easier on your brain. Good luck.

I bet the massage will do the trick... two hours after my last prenatal massage Lexi dropped and it just sailed from there.

  3. Well, it's too late now! Hehe, but I understand what you're saying. I am hoping my massage helps today, I sure feel baby is lower now than what s/he has been. I'm just so ready to not be pregnant anymore and to be a mommy!
