When It`s Quiet...There`s Trouble!

This is quite possibly the best picture ever...

This is our son, described in a picture, to perfection! It was miiiiighty quiet suddenly, I walked down the hall (past the bathroom) and into Braden`s room where I started tidying up for the 3rd time today. Then I heard the water going on...the water going off...the water going on...the water going off. Then this is what I see. He is such a GOOF!!! Seriously, unless you know Braden you have NO idea what a goof he is. We are so blessed to have this little boy, I`ve said it before and I`ll say it again - we LOVE him so much and this age is so fun! Trying at times for sure, but so fun!

So here are some pics from the other day that show exactly how he can crawl up on the counter now (that was the first time today that I actually saw him all the way up...

Step 4: Halfway there! Turning the faucet off and on is fun!

And apparently step 5 was accomplished today! Pull self all the way up onto counter top, play in the water and suck on Gram`s toothbrush! hehehe!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

So last week Braden learned a new skill. We can no longer just shut the doors as a means of baby-proofing. We do have the lever door "knobs" and we knew this day would come. It first started with the front door - eeek! But he seemed to not put it together that allllllll the doors in our house are like that. Then a couple weeks later he had fun opening and closing our closet door and I knew it was only a matter of time until he figured out the rest. Sure enough, one day last week it was awfully quiet as I was cleaning up in the kitchen, and then....

The toilet paper was all the way to the door and then the little bugger (a very cute little bugger!) tried to make a run for it to hide in the shower!

You can tell by his expression he's getting ready to say "uh oh!" Unfortunately he loves to splash around in the toilets. There's a lot of hand-washing after these little occurances!

How do you get mad at him?? We're just continually redirecting him and it seems to be working.

No, No, Braden!

We need to put child-proof locks on the Blu-Ray cabinet...but until then, this often happens...and he really is starting to know what "no" and shaking his head means. Too cute!

Uh oh! Who's in trouble?

Of course he didn't actually "get in trouble"...how could I? It was my fault anyway. I was cooking in the kitchen, I had left the spice/baking door open and he was standing by it. I left momentarily to put Braden's laundry away in his room, as I was leaving the kitchen, I called out to him and told him to follow me to his room...he usually does no problem. I got side-tracked putting his laundry away, and then got to thinking that Braden wasn't around. I went to the kitchen and almost burst out laughing, as this is what I saw...

Oh....hiya, Mom!

He was just so happy!

 He was really chewing on the can and even trying to "drink" it, but luckily the opening was the other way!
