Another Visit With His Cousins

We've been really busy this July and haven't seen them since our family pictures in June! You can REALLY see how big the twins have got! Braden is taller and has a few pounds on them, but when they were sitting down you could hardly tell the size difference, especially cuz Chaz has a pretty big noggin! :) Also, I know they all look really impressed, but the fact that they all stood still is a small miracle!

And just some random stuff from this morning... Braden often carries around a picture of the Huskas that I have framed when Sophia was a newborn and he says "baby baby!" It's very cute!

Naked Baby!

I have been a bad Blogger. But I've been sooooooooooo busy! I'm working like crazy! I haven't worked this much for a long time, because I really didn't work too much when I was pregnant. It sure is different being pregnant and not when working! I had a wonderful, uneventful pregnancy, but just the extra energy and weight you have to carry around make it that much harder!

Anyways, enough of my excuses. I really don't have much to say, Braden's "little guy" is back to normal and for some reason this kid loooooooooves his antibiotics! He goes crazy for Keflex!! How many moms can say that about their kids? His eyes light up like he's getting dessert when he gets his dose after every meal! But every night before bath time I still give him about 15 minutes or so of nudey time, just to air out his bum. Those little blisters that were on his tummy are now gone, but he's getting a rash/eczema(??) to his arms and back now. It is probably from the Keflex/cold/dry weather that we've been having. It is clearing up a bit with Aveeno eczema lotion, but I bet it will go away 100% when the weather warms up and he's done his antibiotics.

It's been twins twins twins the last 2 days for us. We went to Carley's house yesterday and he played with Liam & Paige who are 8 weeks younger than him and then today Katie came over for a visit with Jordyn & Kalia, who are 2.5 years old. Here's a pic I took yesterday from my BlackBerry, and mom is working hard to find Braden one of those cars - he loved it!!

Well, that's about all for now...so much more to do but I'm wiped and going to start the going to bed process!

An Update on the Boys!

I had the pleasure of visiting the boys when they were 3.5ish weeks old and also on New Year's day when they were just shy of 4 weeks old. They are one month old on Wednesday already! They are growing beautifully as you will be able to tell in the pictures! Enough talking...and on with the pictures!

Chaz is was 6 lbs 15 oz and 20" and Nolan is 7 lbs 1 oz and 19". I miiiight be wrong on the lengths, but I know for sure Chaz weighs a bit less but is a full inch longer! Nolan & Chaz:

Meeting Chaz & Nolan

I know what it's like to be a new mommy and having hoards of visitors at your house in excitement of meeting the new baby and visiting with the new family. Even though Joy is my sister, I still felt like I was imposing on her, but I just couldn't help myself - I have been so excited to meet the twins! So I made a lasagna, packed up my own boys, we went to Crossiron Mills for a couple of things and then off to Strathmore we went to meet our new nephews.

When we got there, Joy said they had just put them to bed 10 minutes earlier...I walked by them 3 times and didn't even notice! They were all swaddled and bundled up so nicely together in a bassinet in their dining room. Joy said we could get some cuddles in still so I jumped at the chance and gathered up little Nolan for a snuggle. Having met them in person finally, Nolan is 100% the "Schultz" baby...looking a lot like his Grandpa and Uncle Jay, and Chaz is the "Rayton" baby who looks exactly like Danny, with a matching cowlick "hurricane" swirl on his hairline too!

I know Braden is only 10.5 months old and he doesn't "know" what's going on...but he SQUEALED with excitement when we showed him his little cousins, it was so cute. Doesn't Braden look like a BIG cousin here!

Then we put the boys back down to finish their nap, we ate supper and then it was time for the boys to eat. Nolan woke up first and Joy gave him a bottle, then Chaz woke up shortly after and I got to feed him a bottle!

They are wearing their Cookie Monster jammies that I bought for them - the fit them perfectly. A wonderful gift from Sears if anyone is interested. So nice and cozy fleece!

These boys are so precious! I just can't believe how strong and healthy they are for 34 weekers. They don't even look like preemies at all, other than their size. Some preemies, pardon the terminology especially if you are a preemie mom, but some of them tend to look a bit alien-ish...not these boys! They have already gained back, and more, of their birth weight and they're not even 2 weeks old yet. They were 12 days old yesterday when we met them, 2 weeks old tomorrow already - wow!

Well, yesterday was the first of many visits and snuggles. We're going to spoil these boys rotten...and Braden is going to LOVE growing up with his twin cousins. How blessed are we!

P.S. I just ordered myself a Lightscoop because I plan on being "crazy" Auntie Sarah and taking lots of pictures of these bundles...and I didn't know there was such a thing until a friend on Facebook posted about it with pictures last night. You can still use the flash on your camera, but it reflects it off a wall so it's perfect for babies! So excited to use it and I hope it gets here soon. Merry Christmas to me, love me!

1 Day Old

I just can't get enough of them...I'm so in love with them....and all I have is pictures! I cannot wait to snuggle these boys, spoil them, and smell their wonderful newborn smell! They are doing very well, their official names as you might have seen in the previous post are Nolan & Chaz. Nolan is Baby "A" and Chaz is Baby "B" and in the picture, Nolan is on the left and he still has an IV and Chaz is on the right. I will keep posting any pictures that Joy sends me. Thank goodness for BlackBerries and Facebook! I've been chatting with Joy on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) ever since her water broke and I feel very lucky to have that little connection with her. Keep checking back for pictures!

Welcome to the World, Chaz & Nolan!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the safe arrival of the Rayton twins!! Joy's water broke before 6PM last night and they were born shortly after 9PM!

Laura got to be there as Joy's support person until Danny got there in the knick of time from his flight out of Fort McMurray so she took those pictures on her phone and texted them to me when I was working my night shift last night. God Bless the power of technology - how precious! Joy and babes are doing well, babes are in NICU for some observation for awhile.

Laura and Joy (and me from what i can tell from the pics) think that Baby A looks a LOT like Danika as a newborn and that Baby B looks a LOT like Ray (their grandpa) and Jay. They might be identical, but they don't look like it to me right now.

Due to hospital policy we won't get to met these precious boys until they come home from the hospital which may be a week or two. Pray that they get home happy and healthy and for a quick recovery for Joy.
